Turin is a wonderful city because has a good mix of Italian stereotype: great food – arts – football & is also the city were born Fiat, now FCA, the biggest cars factory in Italy! (More info about Turin).
Turin is also the chocolate homeland in Italy with Guido Gobino (Web site Here), Venchi (Web site Here), Peyrano (Web site Here) & Baratti Milano (Web site Here) These are the reasons why Turin is a very interesting city where Italian Style is mixed with the Parisian architecture.
In this city I choose the Vintage 1997 (Web site Here) as my new experience through the best restaurants in Turin.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is quite strange, but not in a bad point of view! The main reason is that furniture looks like a Baroque style, with lots of Red & Gold colors inside the restaurant.
Different rooms with few tables in each one create a good atmosphere & the staff is really polite.
I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant during the Truffle season, at the end of November so I focused my choices on truffle..good idea!
Here there are my choices:
Fassone beef tartare with fresh white truffle
Tajarin (local pasta) with mountain butter, parmesan cheese with fresh white truffle
Dessert: chestnut dessert with icecream
..& my wife ones:
Paccheri (large tubular pasta) with Eggplant parmesan
Artchocke panful with pistachio nut pesto & fresh parmesan
Foods are very good, in particular Dessert, tajarin & artchockes.
Beef tartare was good but I tasted better Fassona Beef tartare in Turin!
Over all I think that Vintage 1997 is a restaurant that offer good food with high quality & deserves its Michelin Stars
About wines:
DANY FEVRE, Brut Cuvée Rosé à Ville sur Arche
This Brut rosè was suggested by the restaurant owner & I think that this was a good suggestion because it was ok for everything we tasted.
Overall Vintage 1997 has a very wide wines portfolio with lots of champagne but also lot of the best italian wines
